We invite children from 13 years old to the California State University program. The recommended language level is Pre-Intermediate and higher. The whole program (English classes, sports, creative activities and excursions) is conducted in English. The excursion program is very rich; participants are waiting for daily trips to California, excursions to Beverly hills’, Santa Monica, Hollywood, the world-famous amusement parks Universal Studios and Disneyland, the beaches of long beach and Venice beach.

California State University – one of the world's leading universities. The University was founded in 1868 by merging a number of Los Angeles institutions. In summer the children's international program for studying English and active recreation is held on the basis of the University. The Northridge campus of the University of California, based on the children's program, is located in Los Angeles, a 20-minute drive from Hollywood, Universal Studios, Santa Monica and Disneyland. This is the largest of the University's 23 campuses, offering great opportunities for classes, sports and creative activities.
On the territory of the university: swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts, fitness center, football fields, recreation areas and event venues.
Accommodation : in double rooms with private facilities on the block in the modern university campus. On the territory of the residence – rooms for rest, cafe, laundry, supermarket, Wi-Fi.

Los Angeles – The largest metropolis in California, the cradle of the world film industry. It is a city built on the dreams of gold seekers, emigrants, adventurers and novice actors. During walks around the city we will feel the energy of these dreams, we will visit the respectable areas of movie stars and magnificent beaches, admire the wonderful architectural structures and famous parks!
The main trump card of Los Angeles is a convenient location on the Pacific coast. The city itself stretches on a hilly plain, on one side is surrounded by mountains, on the other it rests on the ocean. It is one of the sunniest cities in America - 330 days a year the sun shines overhead!
English Language Course:
- During the summer period, a children's international language program is organized on the basis of the University of California, organized by the association of language schools Embassy English with the Russian office of STB Tours.
- The course includes 20 academic hours of classes per week in international groups of up to 15 people
- Classes are held in the morning and in the afternoon, alternating with excursions.
- On the first day of the training, a language test is conducted, according to which the children are distributed according to the study groups. A transition to another group is possible if the participant in the program is too easy or difficult for his teacher.
- At the end of the course, each participant is given an official certificate confirming the level of English proficiency. Maximum attention is paid to the development of colloquial speech and joint project work.
Entertaining program.
In the evening, California State University hosts games and events in an international atmosphere – evenings of talents, creative festivals, discos, show programs and parties.
Youth flash mobs and city quests take place on excursions, and indefatigable leader groups arrange daily surprises and games every day!
Excursion program.
Excursions take place every second day.
The program includes: Hollywood, “ Avenue of Stars &Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Grove shopping and entertainment center, Los Angeles business center, Grammy Museum, Griffith Observatory, Long Beach, Venice Beach, California scientific center and much more.
Entrance tickets are not included. We recommend purchasing a package of entrance tickets “ Discovery ” ($ 240), which will significantly save the cost of entrance tickets on the spot. Additionally, we offer trips to Universal Studios, Disneyland, Six Flags.

Благодарим за обратную связь и за уделенное время для обсуждения проблемных моментов по телефону.
По нашему опыту можем отметить, что отношение к телефонам в лагере у родителей бывает максимально противоположным. Иногда наличие/отсутствие телефонов даже является основным критерием при выборе лагеря: кому-то принципиально важно, чтобы ребенок всегда был в доступе, а кому-то наоборот, особенно, когда у ребенка отмечается так называемая «зависимость» от гаджетов.
В нашем лагере нет практики забирать телефон у детей во время смены, однако вожатые могут прибегнуть к этой мере, если наличие телефонов мешает проведению программы – перед заездом мы отвечали на этот вопрос.
В случае с Александром после того, как Вы связались с нами, мы забрали телефон на день, а после этого стали забирать во время основных мероприятий у всего младшего отряда, так как конкретно на этой смене это было обоснованно - дети действительно много отвлекались на телефон.
Территория ДОЛ «Золотая Долина» предполагает размещение коттеджного типа, поэтому все дети размещаются в домиках. В течение дня дети заняты на мероприятиях, в командной и групповой работе, поэтому часто что-то готовят командами в своих коттеджах. При этом у вожатых есть доступ ко всем коттеджам в любой момент; вожатые постоянно проверяют домики, в том числе обходят территорию после отбоя и в ночное время.
Супницы у деток стоят на столах, и они наливают себе суп самостоятельно, но мы обязательно ещё раз проговорим с командой, что на это нужно неоднократно обращать внимание детей.
Касательно английского: как мы с Вами обсудили, возможно, Александр воспринимал английский как что-то простое, потому что занятия были в игровой форме, а не в привычном формате уроков.
Сожалеем, что ситуация с телефонами стала основной проблемой, из-за которой испортилось общее впечатление о лагере. Если в дальнейшем Александр поедет на смену, мы будем уделять этому вопросу больше внимания.
