Welcome to the international program in the USA! We offer teens 15-19 years old to take part in the California youth program at the University of California's Fullerton campus. In addition to the English language, participants are offered a choice of thematic programs - a movie camp, an actor’s camp or a surf camp!

The heart of California, many consider Los Angeles. Its modern look – it’s not only the Avenue of Stars and the scene of your favorite series. Greater Los Angeles today has become home to dozens of museums of modern art, many restaurants of all kinds of cuisines, architectural monuments and one hundred and twenty kilometers of the sun-kissed coast. &Nbsp; Every corner of Los Angeles, from Santa Monica to Pasadena, is imbued with the warmth and spirit of freedom that do not let you forget that you are in the City of Angels. &Nbsp;
A 30-minute drive from the desired city of dreams is the town of Fullerton, famous for California's largest university and one of the most innovative research base USA.
Here, on the basis of the Fullerton campus of California State University, an international summer camp for teenagers was organized not only with the possibility of immersion in the language environment, but also with additional thematic training: acting, cinema or surfing to choose from!
General language center information:
The University of California's Fullerton Campus, which hosts the Youth Program, is a 30-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles. The English language study program is organized by the FLS International Language Center, founded in 1986. Education is conducted only in mini-groups and the level of language proficiency is divided into 18 levels. FLS is accredited by two organizations recognized by the US Department of Education - CEA and ACCET, as well as experienced teaching staff.
On campus: Center for Contemporary Art, famous botanical garden « Fullerton Arboretum » ;, historical museum, library, student theater, art gallery, tennis courts, stadium, sports grounds, fitness room . At the service of — comfortable accommodation, modern filming equipment, convenient access to the main attractions of the state of California.
Location : in 2-bed rooms with private facilities on the block in the modern campus of the University. In the territory of the residence – lounges, cafe, laundry, supermarket, Wi-Fi. Each room has air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Classes are a two-minute walk from the residence.
Food : 3 times hot. Packed lunches and weekend brunches can be offered on long excursions. Dietary and vegetarian meals are available upon request.

Security and health services:The program staff provide round-the-clock assistance and medical care for children. The school has a doctor on duty and 24-hour professional security.
Main program:
English course:
The course includes 20 academic hours of classes per week in international mini-groups. On the first day of training, a language test is passed, according to the results of which children are divided into study groups. It is possible to move to another group if the program participant is too easy or difficult for his teacher. At the end of the course, each participant is issued an official certificate confirming the level of English proficiency. Particular emphasis in the curriculum is placed on the development of speaking skills. In addition, FLS International teachers set themselves the task of not only improving their language skills, but also expanding their understanding of American culture for each child.
Thematic program:
Surf Camp. The Surf Camp Surf Camp Program is in Orange County – the very heart of the surf movement of the world! International surfing championships are held here annually. Experienced instructors surf with participants in the program based on a sports school on the beach of Huntington – one of the most famous beaches of the western USA. The training involves attending 10 surfing lessons per week.
Cinema camp. For the guys in whose life the phrase « Camera, motor! » can become an integral part of the profession, the Cinema Camp summer camp offers to try to create your own short film. Classes are taught by teachers who have real experience working on the set in Hollywood. Students of the course learn to create scripts, transfer them to the screen, and also acquire basic skills for working with the camera, act as directors and work on additional effects. Students attend world-famous film studios Warner Bros., Sony / MGM, Paramount and Universal. The program includes 8 film production classes per week.
Acting Camp. Participating in the acting program at Acting Camp, students will learn to improvise, create character characters, interact with partners, play facial expressions, use gestures correctly, behave in front of the camera . At the end of the course, a recording with a speech is issued. Also, as part of the program, students attend Universal Studios and theater performances. The acting program gives the subject 10 lessons per week.
Entertainment. Evening entertainment at California State University Fullerton - it's fun discos and DJ performances, barbecue, and movie marathons! In the afternoon, children are invited to take part in various sports events and competitions in football, basketball, tennis, volleyball and bowling.
Sightseeing program. Despite the rather tight schedule (the children attend classes both in the morning and in the afternoon), summer camp participants organized excursions to the most interesting and famous places of such a vibrant and juicy California: Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica , Disneyland, &labs; Avenue of Stars Stars » ;, Grove Shopping and Entertainment Center, Grammy Museum, Observatory Griffith, Long Beach, Venice Beach, California Science Center and much more. &Nbsp; It seems that the American dream is starting to come true! Entrance fees not included. We offer an entrance ticket package “Discovery” < em> ($ 260), which can significantly save on entry tickets costs on the spot.

Добрый день!
Благодарим за обратную связь и за уделенное время для обсуждения проблемных моментов по телефону.
По нашему опыту можем отметить, что отношение к телефонам в лагере у родителей бывает максимально противоположным. Иногда наличие/отсутствие телефонов даже является основным критерием при выборе лагеря: кому-то принципиально важно, чтобы ребенок всегда был в доступе, а кому-то наоборот, особенно, когда у ребенка отмечается так называемая «зависимость» от гаджетов.
В нашем лагере нет практики забирать телефон у детей во время смены, однако вожатые могут прибегнуть к этой мере, если наличие телефонов мешает проведению программы – перед заездом мы отвечали на этот вопрос.
В случае с Александром после того, как Вы связались с нами, мы забрали телефон на день, а после этого стали забирать во время основных мероприятий у всего младшего отряда, так как конкретно на этой смене это было обоснованно - дети действительно много отвлекались на телефон.
Территория ДОЛ «Золотая Долина» предполагает размещение коттеджного типа, поэтому все дети размещаются в домиках. В течение дня дети заняты на мероприятиях, в командной и групповой работе, поэтому часто что-то готовят командами в своих коттеджах. При этом у вожатых есть доступ ко всем коттеджам в любой момент; вожатые постоянно проверяют домики, в том числе обходят территорию после отбоя и в ночное время.
Супницы у деток стоят на столах, и они наливают себе суп самостоятельно, но мы обязательно ещё раз проговорим с командой, что на это нужно неоднократно обращать внимание детей.
Касательно английского: как мы с Вами обсудили, возможно, Александр воспринимал английский как что-то простое, потому что занятия были в игровой форме, а не в привычном формате уроков.
Сожалеем, что ситуация с телефонами стала основной проблемой, из-за которой испортилось общее впечатление о лагере. Если в дальнейшем Александр поедет на смену, мы будем уделять этому вопросу больше внимания.
