This summer we offer in England a program of in-depth study of the English language and preparation for university studies. The program is based at King’s College in London and includes, in addition to English classes, excursions in London, meetings with teachers of British universities, master classes, seminars, visits to local companies. English classes include IELTS test preparation and test delivery of a test that matches the structure of the original.

King ’ s College London – London’s world famous college, founded in 1829. King's College claims to be the third oldest university in England after Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The college is recognized as one of the leading universities in the world in the field of education and research. In the ranking of the best universities in the world, the college ranks 7th among European universities and 27th in the world. The college is located 9 minutes by tube from the center of London; bedroom residence building – 10 minutes walk from college. Program participants have access to the entire infrastructure of the college: modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards, an IT lab, a media library and a college library.

Accommodation: Single rooms with private facilities. Each participant is provided with its own cozy room with modern furniture and heating system. In the residence there are rest rooms and living rooms. The territory has a 24-hour security and a doctor on duty.

Meals: 3-time hot, with a choice of meat and fish dishes, salads, vegetables and fruits, desserts; Vegetarian meals are available on request. Take into account the features of allergenic food. Packed lunch can be provided for full day excursions.

Pedagogical support. English course.

The English course is organized by the UKLC (United Kingdom Language Courses) language school network and includes 20 academic hours per week in international groups of up to 14 people. On the first day of school, a language test takes place, the results of which are used to distribute children into educational groups. It is possible to switch to another group if it is too easy or difficult for a program participant to attend. The classes are conducted by experienced British teachers with the highest qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language. The course involves an in-depth study of English and maximum practice to develop skills in free communication. Special attention is paid to preparing for the IELTS test in the future, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the English of each participant in the program, developing personal recommendations for further training. On the final day of the course, program participants take a test test IELTS , which fully corresponds to the official test on the structure. At the end of the program, each participant is given an official certificate confirming the passed course.

Educational preparation program for the university. For three weeks, teens live in the University Explorer Program < / em> , which implies the maximum imitation of life in a British university. Every day there are educational seminars, workshops, master classes, meetings with teachers from British universities, visits to local companies. Children perform project work in international groups, prepare and defend presentations, participate in discussion clubs, learn time management and goal setting, organize their own educational projects and research, and study the characteristics of life at the university of an English-speaking country.

Of course, the program at King's College is not a complete equivalent of university studies. The organizers of the program understand that in the summer for children, first of all, they need a camp – therefore, most classes involve a maximum of communication, games, teamwork with a competitive spirit. But each lesson is structured in such a way as to be as useful as possible for the child, helping him to understand his interests, be it the world of finance, creativity or scientific activity. It is important that the program participant himself understands the need for his development, thinks about the choice of profession and his place in the world, is rather ambitious and strives for an active life!

Excursion program . City tours take place almost every day after class - Parliament House and Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Historical Museums, Greenwich, Cambridge, Oxford Brighton All tours are conducted in English. Добрый день!
Благодарим за обратную связь и за уделенное время для обсуждения проблемных моментов по телефону.

По нашему опыту можем отметить, что отношение к телефонам в лагере у родителей бывает максимально противоположным. Иногда наличие/отсутствие телефонов даже является основным критерием при выборе лагеря: кому-то принципиально важно, чтобы ребенок всегда был в доступе, а кому-то наоборот, особенно, когда у ребенка отмечается так называемая «зависимость» от гаджетов.

В нашем лагере нет практики забирать телефон у детей во время смены, однако вожатые могут прибегнуть к этой мере, если наличие телефонов мешает проведению программы – перед заездом мы отвечали на этот вопрос.

В случае с Александром после того, как Вы связались с нами, мы забрали телефон на день, а после этого стали забирать во время основных мероприятий у всего младшего отряда, так как конкретно на этой смене это было обоснованно - дети действительно много отвлекались на телефон.

Территория ДОЛ «Золотая Долина» предполагает размещение коттеджного типа, поэтому все дети размещаются в домиках. В течение дня дети заняты на мероприятиях, в командной и групповой работе, поэтому часто что-то готовят командами в своих коттеджах. При этом у вожатых есть доступ ко всем коттеджам в любой момент; вожатые постоянно проверяют домики, в том числе обходят территорию после отбоя и в ночное время.

Супницы у деток стоят на столах, и они наливают себе суп самостоятельно, но мы обязательно ещё раз проговорим с командой, что на это нужно неоднократно обращать внимание детей.

Касательно английского: как мы с Вами обсудили, возможно, Александр воспринимал английский как что-то простое, потому что занятия были в игровой форме, а не в привычном формате уроков.

Сожалеем, что ситуация с телефонами стала основной проблемой, из-за которой испортилось общее впечатление о лагере. Если в дальнейшем Александр поедет на смену, мы будем уделять этому вопросу больше внимания.
