Every summer in the village of Davydovo of the Yaroslavl region families with disabled children gather to live together, work and give children the opportunity to become a little more independent. They are assisted by volunteers, responsible and responsive people who accompany the child during the day. Age, gender, specialty and experience of volunteers do not matter. To receive "special families » and those who wish to serve God's glory", volunteers are organized « town » of building cabins-cabins (only 15 pieces of different capacity). Volunteers, as for wish and disabled children, live in tents (female and men's tents). The tent has wooden floors and bunk beds. Electricity is supplied.

There is a washbasin (on the territory of the camp a well is drilled, a pump is connected), a sanitary car is running, in which there are 3 shower rooms (with hot water), a bathtub, two washing machines.

The most valuable thing in this summer existence is the joint life of the "special" raquo; children and other our guests: adolescents, volunteers, professionals. During one shift, we accept up to 120 people at a time, of which there are more than 25 families with special » children; For summer, these figures are doubled.

Power — breakfast, lunch and dinner at general parish refectory. During the period of the volunteer's work, his children may be under the supervision of the community.

Experience of past years has shown that rehabilitation or even a simple rest is not required only for children with disabilities, but for their accompanying (usually mothers). In cities, they are used to being close to their &lquo; uneasy » children literally 24 hours a day. In another way it is impossible. A in Davydovo, they they have the opportunity to let the child from themselves provided that they are assigned to a designated volunteer. Therefore, we invite everyone who is interested in spending part of the summer in the Yaroslavl village, at the church, doing charity work for children.

Volunteer task — accompanying the disabled child (14 – 20 years) on the job, while moving around the village, in the refectory, etc. Age, gender, specialty and experience of volunteers do not matter.

Preschool children have the opportunity to attend a parish kindergarten (if there is a volunteer-tutor). All summer classes are held on hippotherapy, and in the first shift a specialist on canister therapy (with specially trained dogs) usually comes. Every day there are different creative activities — on needlework, art crafts, folklore, etc.

Approximate work options that are offered to disabled children and accompanying volunteers:

work with a stretcher, shovel, garbage collection, painting;
watering, weeding in the garden and potato field
harvesting grasses, brooms, picking mushrooms and berries
cleaning stalls, feeding horses and cows, bringing and carrying sawdust on the farm
stacking firewood in the woodpile, cleaning the area, water delivery and other general works.
