Far from the central facilities of the VDC "Orlyonka" Camp &la Komsomolsky » stands like a quiet harbor. Over five summer shifts the camp accepts 2500 boys and girls from all regions of Russia, countries of near and far abroad. The area of the children's camp of 52 hectares occupies a beach, a park and a huge number of small houses in which the eaglets live. Sailing Crew takes 2 lodges.
They are equipped with single-story beds, bedside tables and wardrobes. Shower, washrooms and toilet rooms are located in the camp territory, in separate houses. On the whole territory and the beach there are drinking fountains. Also in the camp there is a medical center, a summer dining room, a terrace for relaxation, a stage for watching movies and conducting creative events, a library, rooms and equipment for table tennis, and a long beach.

Main program:

The program consists of two large blocks: sailing part and creativity.

Sails give us the opportunity to join the marine business as fully as possible. The participants will go out on water every day or every other day in dinghies in the crew of 2 people, they will study the theory, build a sailboat with their own hands, and take part in the regatta.

Creativity helps to realize the talents of the participants and unite with large teams in the work on a common task. We offer participants a wide variety of creative tasks - from the production of video clips on the proposed songs, to solving complex moral and ethical dilemmas. Thus, we give them the opportunity to show their capabilities as much as possible.

Every day, participants take part in sailing and in creative pursuits. Several times per shift, our detachment will take part in large camp events, such as the Citizenship Lesson &our Motherland – Russia! &Raquo ;, a hiking trail « the Path of trust and friendship » ;, the game of the Gems of the folk culture, the training session of the Design Bureau » and others.

Organizational structure of the Program:

Crew members form a 3 “ battalion ” for 9-10 people. These divisions and become the main operating units for the whole shift. As part of the battalion, the guys go to the water for training, work at the shipyard, study the theory and prepare for creative work.

At the beginning of the shift, a schedule of classes is drawn up, where the time is marked when the divisions are training or doing other things, and when they meet together for common activities.

Behind each division there is one counselor or instructor assigned that provides security and a favorable psychological climate.

Shift schedule:

We will begin to comprehend yachting science with a small introductory theory, which, however, will quickly turn into practice. Theoretical lessons will accompany us throughout the course of training - without them you can not. But we will try to give the material interesting and varied. At the end of the shift the guys will wait for the final theoretical test. In order to qualify for the title of steering sailing yacht, the theory must be known by all means.

We will begin our practice with acquaintance with yachts. We will learn how to prepare boats for training (arm), and also to disassemble after classes (disarm).

Already on the water we will master yacht management.

The correct landing, the grip of the helm and the desired rope - the basis of the basics. It will be necessary to learn that it depends very much on the correct management of the sails, whether a yacht under your leadership can go somewhere. And when, at last, taxiing by the boat ceases to be something terrible and unattainable, we will learn to walk in any direction, even if our goal is against the wind.

The final regatta at the end of the shift will be a review of the sailing achievements of all camp participants.

Description and plan of classes at the shipyard:

In addition to sailing, we try to penetrate the essence of the racing dinghy. After all, any child sooner or later there is a desire to disassemble an object. We will do differently. We will assemble it. We collect dinghies “ Eaglet ” we are from specially prepared kit-kits consisting of the main constructive elements: stringer, frames, carlings, beams, half-bimsy, peelers and others. Having preliminarily studied the structure of the yacht in theory and understand the terminology, we proceed to the "dry assembly" in which the guys collect a boat without glue and with a minimum number of screws in order to understand the order of work and the final result. Dry assembly is a fairly fast process.

After the assembly, we dismantle the boat and begin to collect on the glue and on the screws. This is a long, important and responsible process. All adhesives with which the guys work are non-toxic and have appropriate safety certificates.

After assembling for glue and painting (painting is done by a master without children), we begin to attach attachments: step, blocks, stopper, etc. Once the boat is ready and armed - this boat is tested and given a name.

For a complete change, our squad will be built one dverbot class “ Orlyonok ”.

Description and plan of creative activities:

The main kind of creative activity at the shift is the collective theatrical productions. Participants are invited to "lace" ” on the evening affair, which instructors show. Then the battalions are given time for preparation, during which they come up with their scenario, distribute roles, rehearse, select music, costumes and props, and then show their mini-performance to other divisions or detachments of the camp "Komsomolsky".

Counselors and instructors first help regulate the processes, but then the participants get more and more autonomy, and at the end of the shift make their setting themselves. Level of difficulty “ ties ” also gradually increases. The division has its own unique structure - everyone has a role in the performance and preparation for it. Somebody directs, someone writes scripts, someone draws posters. That is, everyone's contribution is very important. Thus, the division rallies, develops, and everyone around has the opportunity to see the results of their work.

Another type of creative activity is various game events and quizzes that are held in free evenings, when there is no show of creative deeds. They add informality and fun to the atmosphere of the camp. Perhaps we will take part in a general disco, which will host the camp “ Komsomolsky ”

There will be 1 excursion during the shift.

There will be one communicative role-playing game on the shift. Our guys are experienced players and take part in role-playing games with pleasure, plunging into the atmosphere of history or fantasy, trying on the images of heroes, villains, politicians and scientists.

Of course, there will be so much our favorite evenings by the fire with songs, tea, long conversations.
