The children's language camp “Swiss Discovery - Engelberg” is held at the international center Alpadia Engelberg and collects more than 150 children from different countries for the summer language program in Engelberg. Children have the opportunity to choose English or German for studying and passing the program. The group is accompanied by professional educators from Moscow, our most experienced counselors.

1. Passport, valid 3 months from the date of the trip. Attention! The passport must have two unused pages to fit Schengen visa and airport stamps. 2. A copy of the first pages from previous passports. Copies of all Schengen visas for the last three years. 3. 2 photos colored on a light background recent 3.5 x 4.5 matte without oval. 4. Application form in English is not filled out, it is signed by both parents ! The application must be signed 4 times: 3 times on page 3 and in the " Signature " field on page 4. 5. Questionnaire for a visa application form. 6. A photocopy of the first pages and pages with the registration of Russian passports of both parents. 7. For children over the age of 14 – copy of the child’s passport of the Russian Federation (page with photo and registration). 8. Be sure from one of the parents! Or a certificate of purchase of currency (based on at least 70 euros per person on the day of stay in Switzerland), OR statement of the availability of funds on an international credit card, OR statement of account status (if the account is ruble, then the certificate should indicate the equivalent of the ruble amount in dollars or euros). &Nbsp; Statements or certificate must not be older than 1 month before the expected date of applying for a visa. Bank statement must be on the bank letterhead with a seal and signature b nkovskogo employee. The cashier’s signature must be on the currency purchase certificate. 9. Photocopy of birth certificate. 10. Engelberg is an active recreation center, famous for the beauty of nature and a variety of types of outdoor activities. Here the children will spend an unforgettable summer surrounded by mountains, in the fresh air, meet peers from different parts of the globe and improve their language skills.
In Engelberg, located at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level, there are a lot of interesting things for thrill seekers — opportunities for active sports, cycling routes, 660 m long bobsleigh track, adventure park. It is also conveniently located for excursions to nearby cities: Lucerne, Zurich, Bern and Interlaken. Absolutely deservedly, Engelberg gained fame as a city with safe conditions for family vacations. In a word, this place is ideal for learning a language, combined with summer outdoor activities and intense adventures.
Placement. The campus campus is located in a completely renovated building of the 12th century Benedictine monastery in the heart of Engelberg, and offers comfortable conditions and modern amenities for living. Children live in double and single rooms at the residence. Spacious rooms with stylish contemporary décor have washbasins and plenty of storage space, and on each floor — shared showers and toilets.
At the base of the camp there are spacious classes, a games area, a lot of space for relaxing with friends. The center has an indoor sports hall and outdoor sports fields, including football, volleyball and basketball fields, tennis courts. All common areas of the residence have access to WiFi.
Meals: 3 meals a day, with a wide selection of meat and fish dishes, farm products, salads, fruits and vegetables, desserts. If necessary, features of a vegetarian or allergic diet are taken into account. Packed lunches may be offered on long excursions.

Security and health services:School staff provide round-the-clock assistance and medical care for children. All sporting events are accompanied by professional sports instructors in small groups. The territory has 24-hour professional security, strangers are excluded.

Foreign language course. Children can choose English or German to study. A foreign language course includes 20 hours of classes per week in international groups of up to 10-12 people. Classes are held 5 days a week on weekdays in the morning. On the first day of schooling, a test is passed, according to the results of which children are divided into study groups. It is possible to move to another group if the program participant is too easy or difficult for his teacher. At the end of the entire program, each participant is issued an official school certificate. &Nbsp;
Entertainment program. During their stay in the camp, children will have many opportunities for outdoor activities in the international environment - from cultural events to adventure games, from hiking to the mountains to participate in team sports. Thanks to the entertainment program, each camp participant will be able to have a great and fun summer vacation, getting to know children from different countries and practicing a foreign language.
Sports program: football, volleyball, swimming in the indoor pool, floorball, minigolf, handball, basketball, mountain walks, team games.
Extra tennis course. Camp participants are offered an additional tennis course for 1 or 2 weeks. Classes are held 3 times a week for 2 hours with a professional instructor in mini-groups up to 4 people. The cost of a week of classes: 210 euros.
Sightseeing Program.
In the vicinity of Engelberg and the regions close to it, there are a lot of options for interesting leisure. From excursions to Interlaken to shopping in Zurich, from hiking to the Swiss Museum of Transport – there is so much interesting ahead! For example, in Engelberg's amusement park, an exciting forest adventure awaits us with a zipline, bridges and a high swing. In the park there is a lesson for everyone — From thrill seekers to nature lovers — and there will be many opportunities to strengthen team spirit and relations with comrades.
Another interesting excursion is the fantastic toboggan run at Brunni, which is located in a beautiful area surrounded by flowering meadows and amazing mountain landscapes. Moving along a 660 m long highway with numerous sharp turns at speeds up to 40 km / h, we are guaranteed to experience delight!
A full list of excursions is offered: Lucerne, Zurich, Bern, Lido, Interlaken, Engelberg Adventure Park, toboggan, cheese factory. Entrance fees are not included. We offer a package of admission tickets “ Discovery ” (90 euros), which will save on entry fees on the spot.

Благодарим за обратную связь и за уделенное время для обсуждения проблемных моментов по телефону.
По нашему опыту можем отметить, что отношение к телефонам в лагере у родителей бывает максимально противоположным. Иногда наличие/отсутствие телефонов даже является основным критерием при выборе лагеря: кому-то принципиально важно, чтобы ребенок всегда был в доступе, а кому-то наоборот, особенно, когда у ребенка отмечается так называемая «зависимость» от гаджетов.
В нашем лагере нет практики забирать телефон у детей во время смены, однако вожатые могут прибегнуть к этой мере, если наличие телефонов мешает проведению программы – перед заездом мы отвечали на этот вопрос.
В случае с Александром после того, как Вы связались с нами, мы забрали телефон на день, а после этого стали забирать во время основных мероприятий у всего младшего отряда, так как конкретно на этой смене это было обоснованно - дети действительно много отвлекались на телефон.
Территория ДОЛ «Золотая Долина» предполагает размещение коттеджного типа, поэтому все дети размещаются в домиках. В течение дня дети заняты на мероприятиях, в командной и групповой работе, поэтому часто что-то готовят командами в своих коттеджах. При этом у вожатых есть доступ ко всем коттеджам в любой момент; вожатые постоянно проверяют домики, в том числе обходят территорию после отбоя и в ночное время.
Супницы у деток стоят на столах, и они наливают себе суп самостоятельно, но мы обязательно ещё раз проговорим с командой, что на это нужно неоднократно обращать внимание детей.
Касательно английского: как мы с Вами обсудили, возможно, Александр воспринимал английский как что-то простое, потому что занятия были в игровой форме, а не в привычном формате уроков.
Сожалеем, что ситуация с телефонами стала основной проблемой, из-за которой испортилось общее впечатление о лагере. Если в дальнейшем Александр поедет на смену, мы будем уделять этому вопросу больше внимания.
