Children's camp with a full immersion TheUK''s is a project which was developed by linguists and psychologists of the St. Petersburg State University in 2006. It is a specail artificially created language environment that enables children to improve their English in terms of exciting games. Sessions help children to cope with the language barrier, to expand the knowledge gained in school and courses, as well as to look at the language from different point of view.

The program of the full language immersion camp The UK'S is held on the basis of the recreation center "University", located on the territory of the Gladyshevsky reserve, in a pine forest near the beautiful blue lakes. Fresh air and wonderful nature allow you to enjoy your holiday all year round, because the camp is cozy and warm, each brick building is equipped with an autonomous boiler.

Accommodation: in a brick building in a room for 4-5 persons (amenities on the floor).

On the base of recreation center "University" there is own watchdog service, equipped with video surveillance. The health of children around the clock will be monitored by qualified medical personnel (children's doctor and nurse).

Main program:

TheUK's full language immersion camp is aimed at enabling all children to learn English not in a boring class by textbooks, but in real field conditions - in practice. The camp was created within the framework of the experiment of specialists of the philological faculty of St. Petersburg State University and still carefully preserves university traditions. Each shift is created anew, we work in completely different genres (we shoot movies, solve quests, build grandiose strategic games), but the change always takes place in the language intensive format. In our camp, the guys speak English no less than 8 hours a day (and in some cases more). Those who already masterfully master the language, we offer a variety of ways to expand their vocabulary and polish the grammar, and those who make the first steps - we give impetus to language improvement. Very often it is on our shifts that the guys who have had a language barrier start to talk.

However, the format of the camp shift does not provide the opportunity to learn the language from scratch - to participate in our shifts (if the name of the shift does not specify that it is designed for children from scratch), the initial knowledge of English is necessary - for children 8-12 years old you need to study English at least a year before (within the framework of the language school program), and adolescents 11-16 years old need to master the language at a level no lower than A2 (Elementary). We conduct free testing and we will surely advise you the best option for your child.

8.15 - morning exercises, cleaning rooms

9.00 - breakfast (teenagers begin the first block of speaking in English)

10.00 - outdoor sports games

11.00 - classes or work in groups by interests (always - only in English)

12.45 - summarizing the morning block of English in adolescent group, Russian time

13.00 - lunch

13.30 - a quiet hour

15.30 - cleaning rooms, all begin an evening block of speaking in English

16.00 - afternoon snack

16.30 - individual work

17.00 - tea drinking

17.30 - team work or outdoor games

19.00 - Dinner

В лагере сын отдыхал летнюю смену. Вернулся с положительными и яркими эмоциями, бодрый и никаких сомнений не было, что отдых был замечательный. Вожатые и педагоги очень понравилась. К каждому ребенку относились с вниманием и заботой, атмосфера в коллективе очень дружелюбная и демократичная. Много общения на английском языке, квесты, конкурсы, театральные постановки, викторины. Английский преподаётся с тематикой смены, присутствуют носители языка. Местоположение лагеря окружено соснами, чистый воздух, условия проживания нормальные. С администратором легко связаться по телефону, на все вопросы родителей отвечают сразу, фото выкладываются ежедневно.

Have been twice in this camp. For the first time in the spring and the second time in the fall.
After the spring reviews of my daughter, two friends sent their children there.
The organization is excellent. Interesting and versatile program, carries away from the first minute, the children are constantly busy, while they are not entertained, but are carried away (and this is a huge difference). Strong teaching staff. A daughter (13 years old) still wants to go on a summer shift. Many thanks to all the organizers of this camp! The food is quite good, the territory of the camp is spacious (on the basis of the DOL University), the transfer from the metro station Black River
